Music and video are natural partners and together offer a powerful tool to reach both existing and new audiences. We can record all types of music in almost any venue, indoors or out. Along with rock, folk and pop video, we bring extensive experience in multi-camera filming of classical and experimental concerts from solo performers through to full orchestra.
Client Case Study
The CoMA residential Summer School features a concert series with performances from leading international performers and ensembles. This piece, "June" composed by Michael Finnissy and performed by the Fidelio Trio encapsulates the technical challenge of working in a dry acoustic space with atmospheric style low light levels and quiet acoustic music.
In professional level concert settings we work to ensure that video and audio technical standards accurately reflect the performance, and that the recording process does not impact on the performance or audience experience.
Key Processes
In a concert setting we use industry standard microphones from Neumann, AKG and Sennheiser, with Class A preamps and high end AD convertors. At the post production stage this allows us to achieve high quality sound mixes which can match and even exceed video quality to function as stand alone recordings.
