Text and Graphics
A word on workflow

Alongside image and sound, text and graphics play a central role in video. Common uses of text include subtitles, titles, acknowledgements, credits, names/job titles, phone contacts, web links, social media tags, and calls to action.
Graphics are also central. These can range from very basic such as the black boxes in which subtitles appear through to complex transitions, title screens and animations. For clients with active social media presence it's also common to include social media icons.

Many clients will have existing brand elements such as a business logo, colour scheme pr specific fonts. Our editing software allows the import of most types of graphic files and text fonts with options for further editing and even animation of brand elements.

On larger video projects we have extensive experience of working with other creative teams as part of the production process, particularly graphic design and PR agencies. Integrating respective workflows can help keep the whole process as efficient and streamlined as possible.
For smaller projects we advise, that wherever possible, creating text and graphics is considered as part of the production process and that all files, scripts etc. are supplied prior to the start of post production.
This is especially important if you are using a graphic design service and even more so if your video is for a deadline bound event such as an award ceremony or town hall meet.
One final workflow point - while we will generally catch and flag up any spelling or grammar issues, incorrect spelling of names for titles or lower thirds can be a bit trickier to spot, so its always worth a double check before the final master is run off!
